East Hampton Sandwich Company is opening not only one location in Houston this summer, but two! The Dallas based restaurant is known for taking a cue on everything from decor, vibe, and food from [as the name implies] the East Coast! When you step inside, you feel like you’ve entered Gurney’s Montauk or a beach cottage; for us Texans that means white oak, boxwood ivy and playful art including vintage New York Magazine covers.
“Houston is an exciting restaurant scene with a range of top fast-casual options, and we feel we will compliment current offerings while filling a niche with our elevated sandwich concept.”- Hunter Pond, East Hampton Sandwich Co. Founder. Pond founded EHS in 2012 and this is his first expansion outside of the greater Dallas-Fort Worth area.
We are excited for the city to experience the nationally-acclaimed sandwiches that feature, not only a Lobster Roll but Lobster Grilled Cheese, Clam Chowder, the Farmer John’s which is made with hillside goat cheese, roasted carrots, avocado, spring mix, onion, tomato and red pepper. There is something for everyone with their wide range of sandwich categories: turkey, chicken, beef, pork, fish and vegetarian options. A few menu items even give a nod to Pond’s Texas roots including the Hickory Bacon Burger and Fried Chicken + Jack.
Mark your calendars because this Thursday, May 31st from 6-9 p.m., the first location (in River Oaks District) will be having their grand opening party! There will be a DJ, frozen drinks, a photo booth and more summer fun. Be sure to get there early because the first 200 people will be treated to a Lobster Roll and other signature beach eats!
