It’s February, which means it’s time to start planning your most romantic Valentine’s Day yet. Spoil the special someone in your life with an unforgettable meal, courtesy of some of the best restaurants in Houston. Below are a few of the top dinners in town.

Located inside the gorgeous Marriott Marquis in bustling downtown Houston, the #1 restaurant in Houston is offering both a special Valentine’s Day menu and a romantic Couple’s Menu in honor of the holiday. Each four-course offering features mouthwatering Oaxacan dishes from 2017 James Beard Award-winning chef Hugo Ortega — no matter your choice, you can’t go wrong.

The Couple’s Menu will be available the evenings of February 10 through 13 and 15 through 17, and is $105 per guest, plus beverage, tax, and gratuity. Beloved in Houston since 2002, chef Hugo Ortega’s eponymous Montrose restaurant is an ideal setting for your Valentine’s Day meal. Two special menus will be on offer — an exclusive, one-night-only Valentine’s Day Dinner, as well as a delicious Couple’s Menu that will be available February 10 through 14 and 15 through 17. Each four-course meal features Hugo’s Mexican delicacies, from fire-roasted lobster to duck confit with tamarind mole.

This posh restaurant within downtown’s exquisite Hotel Alessandra is an ideal romantic setting for your Valentine’s Day evening.

Executive Chef Jose Hernandez has crafted a festive three-course dinner menu, offering such choices as foie gras or consommé for the first course, Sea Bream, Magret de Canard, or Veal Chop for the second course, and finishing off with his and hers desserts. Indulge on Wednesday, February 14, from 5:30 until 10:30 p.m. Dinner is $85 per person, plus tax and gratuity. Reservations are required and can be made here.

The lovely ARA Restaurant is perfectly-situated within the AAA Four-Star Royal Sonesta in the Houston Galleria, and will be offering a trio of three-course prix fixe menus, in addition to the regular a la carte menu, on Valentine’s Day.

Choose from the Romantic Couples menu, featuring ricotta gnocchi gratin and spiced chocolate fondue; the Friends With Benefits menu, which includes a Ménage à Trois dessert of crème brûlée, pot de crème, and a fruit tart; or the It’s Complicated menu, featuring clams, mussels, shrimp, scallops, and foie gras. The beautiful River Oaks District is one of Houston’s top lifestyle destinations, resplendent with designer boutiques and fine dining. For stunning French-Vietnamese cuisine, look no further than Le Colonial. Treat your partner to a three-course Valentine’s dinner, prepared by Culinary Director Nicole Routhier and Executive Chef Hassan Obaye.

The special menu will feature an amuse-bouche, appetizer, entrée, and festive dessert selection alongside coffee or tea. Valentine’s Day dinner will be $75 per person, and reservations may be made on their website.

This Valentine’s Day, Chama Gaúcha will be festively decorated and feature live music from 7 p.m. till midnight from Tuesday, February 13th through Thursday, February 15th.

Indulge in a special Valentine’s Day package, featuring the traditional rodizio menu for two, along with a bottle of Ceretto Santo Stefano Moscato d’Asti or The Hess Collection Napa Valley Allomi Cabernet Sauvignon. Toulouse River Oaks District

Turn to the heart of the chic River Oaks District for your romantic Valentine’s Day retreat at Toulouse. Alongside their usual offerings, the beloved French bistro will serve a special menu, featuring asparagus cream soup topped with ruffle coulis and brioche croutons; jumbo lump crab cakes with petite salad and espelette aioli; seared halibut over a hazelnut risotto; filet mignon with roasted potatoes, onions, mushrooms, and a truffle sauce; all finished with a decadent chocolate tart with raspberries and rose flower cream.

Reservations will be accepted from Monday, February 12th through Wednesday, February 14th. On Valentine’s Day, Toulouse will have live music in the courtyard from 7 to 11 p.m.

Mezza Grille

This Valentine’s Day, Mezza Grille is hosting a romantic celebration. For $125 per couple, plus tax and gratuity, indulge in a four-course meal—the select menu will include one appetizer to share, a choice of soup or salad each, one entrée each, finished off with one dessert to share and the choice of a bottle of wine to share. Such dishes as seafood campechana, crab cakes, New Zealand Lamb Chops, and Crème Brulee will be included on this special menu.

B&B Butchers & Restaurant

This upscale steakhouse is pulling out all the stops this Valentine’s Day. From Thursday, February 8th through Wednesday, February 14th, diners at B&B Butchers & Restaurant will receive complimentary chocolate dipped strawberries, followed by a special menu, including a Seared Foie Gras appetizer, Mini Surf & Turf (5-6 ounce lobster tail and a 10oz filet), and Red Velvet Cake with a white chocolate heart for dessert. You may even arrange to pre-order flowers and a box of specialty chocolates, which will be waiting on your table when you arrive.

Reservations are required and must be made at least 24 hours in advance by calling (713) 862-1814. When you call to reserve your table, you may place your order for flowers. There are three flower arrangement options by John Friedman Flowers available: 6” Bubble Bowl of 6 Roses, approximately 11″” tall x 12”” wide ($75); 8” Bubble Bowl of 12 Roses, approximately 14”” tall x 16”” wide ($145); or Dozen Long Stemmed Roses, approximately 34”” tall x 17″” wide ($175)
