The Houston Alumnae of Kappa Alpha Theta have rebranded their popular annual Theta Charity Antiques Show. As they celebrate the showcase’s 65th year, the sorority expanded the concept to include an array of design dealers. The charity show’s new name? Theta Design Weekend (December 1-3).
For the first time, attendees of the three-day event will enjoy the traditional showing of fine antiques, alongside offerings of home decor, art, lighting, textiles, jewelry, architecture, special speakers, tours, and more. While the concept is new, the showcase will remain true to featuring unique, luxury items for all to enjoy.
The interior design and décor weekend will be held at the newly made-over George R. Brown Convention Center, perfectly situated in beautiful downtown Houston. After a day of unparalleled shopping, be sure to visit one of the city’s best restaurants—from James Beard Award winner chef Hugo Ortega’s Xochi to authentic French favorite Brasserie du Parc, you will have some of the most lauded eateries in town to choose from.
Theta Design Weekend will benefit Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens/Museum of Fine Arts Houston, Child Advocates, Crime Stoppers of Houston, The Jung Center, the Kappa Alpha Theta Foundation, River Oaks Chamber Orchestra, Texas Children’s Cancer Center, TIRR Foundation, WorkFaith Connection, and Yellowstone Academy.
