One of a Kind Hand-Painted Vintage Bags

in Shopping & Style by

Painting on designer handbags has been happening for years, starting with Goyard painting stripes and initials on their bags since 1853. Now in 2018 painting a designer handbag, new or vintage, has become more of a creative art, giving your bag a one of a kind unique touch.

“Custom painting one of a kind luxury handbags, luggage and accessories with your monogram, initials or personally inspired work of art is an even more significant way to make your style stand out in a crowd.” – Donae Cangelosi Chramosta of The Vintage Contessa

Houston queen of vintage designer handbags,  Cangelosi Chramosta of The Vintage Contessa, has recently introduced this art and customization option to her customers. She teamed up with local artist Hanh Tran who creates oil on canvas work based on self-study of the human form, nature, culture, and emotion. The pair met at a charity event where Hanh was donating painted bags for auction. Cangelosi quickly noticed her unique signature style and knew they should collaborate.

Customers can either chose to personalize a bag purchased during their visit to The Vintage Contessa & Times Past showroom or bring in a bag from their collection. Paintings range from initials starting at $300 up to $2,000 for larger paintings.
