Now, it’s the social distancing winter, almost spring, of 2021, in Houston, and that begs the question — how do you safely do anything with some of us immunized and some of us not? So we’ve decided to enjoy a little reminiscing since we aren’t clear of the pandemic, yet.

We should be publishing again and found in your favorite Houston hotel rooms by the holidays 2021, but until then, let’s re-visit Rodeo 2019!  We haven’t had a Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo in 2 years, and we miss it!

We’re also going to re-highlight some of our favorite things to do in and around town, from visiting the best bars, clubs and restaurants for indulging in local fare, to the finest shopping in outdoor sportsman fine clothing, jewelry and fashion, to taking in the arts of our expansive Museum District. Let us guide you through the city, so you can experience H-Town like a local.

We are re-introducing our spring 2019 issue, with the HLSR concert headliner, Cody Johnson, C & W singer/songwriter star from neighboring Huntsville, Texas, gracing our cover.  Flip through the pages of this online issue, found here on the Houston Hotel Magazine website, and click on a few of the images to hear Cody sing his heart out.

This spring 2019 issue of HHM, gives us an inside look at Cody’s world of country western music and how he comes by his lyrics and music so well.  Playing center stage at the 2019 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo was one of his heartfelt dreams come true even though he enjoys an international fan base numbering in the millions.

As we know, our beloved Houston Stock Show and Rodeo will open, perhaps bigger and better than ever, in 2022.  Houston Hotel Magazine’s guide to the grounds will help you begin to navigate through the sometimes-overwhelming amount of Rodeo festivities. From family-friendly activities to venue tips, we have you covered. But before you make your way to NRG Park, discover our “Rodeo Ready Gift Guide” article from our winter 2020 issue on this website.  It’s a curated selection of western-themed items that are sure to help you stand out in style. In it, you’ll find some of our favorite Texas-inspired gifts to elevate any wardrobe and enhance every home. We’ll steer you in the right direction, so you can score some of Houston’s must-haves by Rodeo 2022.

And as a friendly reminder.  Houston is the culinary capital of the Southwest!  Be sure to check out “Brunches, Bars and Bites” articles on our website for the best deals and newest eateries our foodie town has to offer. Looking for something a little heartier? We’ve rounded up the best chophouses in town in our “Steak Section.” You can’t come to Texas without savoring the local fare, and we know good steak! Be sure to click the web address of the venue of your choice to find out if reservations are needed thanks to COVID ever-updating protocols.

Before you go, we decided to leave the guide as it was in spring 2019, for this re-purposed issue, to look back at how vibrant a city Houston really was, to keep it top of mind, for it will be again…and soon! Houston IS one of the best and biggest Texas cities to visit for the newest trend in travel, bleisure, (business/leisure) in the USA!!

So browse  “The Scene,” our entertainment calendar, for an insider’s look at over 250 of Houston’s best performances, festivals and can’t-miss events as they were scheduled for winter of 2019.  Spend some time with our comprehensive listing of Houston sporting events, and remember some of our favorite places to dine, shop and explore around town. Lots will be back in full force by winter 2021 when Houston hotels are expected to be filled with visitors enjoying our great city, and Houston Hotel Magazine will be in their rooms guiding the way!

Thank you for taking another walk down memory lane with us at Houston Hotel Magazine as we count the days to welcoming once again, Houston visitors here for business or pleasure. We love our city’s guests from near and far…and we’ve missed ya’ll!!
