On July 20th 1969, astronauts Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong made history by planting an American flag on the moon and becoming the first humans to step foot on another planet. SkyWaves is an artistic collaboration between River Oaks District and Contemporary Arts Museum Houston. Produced by local creative studio MATTER, the installation elegantly honors the Apollo 11 Mission’s groundbreaking success 50 years ago.
13 Celsius, which opened in 2016, by Ian Rosenberg and Michael Sammons, gives customers an authentic taste of small town Europe. The building’s unique architecture comes from the fact that it once was a Mediterranean – style 1920s dry cleaners shop. It reminded Rosenberg and Sammons of antiquated boutiques they fell in love with during their travel to Italy and the South of France. Keep Reading
