13 Celsius, which opened in 2016, by Ian Rosenberg and Michael Sammons, gives customers an authentic taste of small town Europe. The building’s unique architecture comes from the fact that it once was a Mediterranean – style 1920s dry cleaners shop. It reminded Rosenberg and Sammons of antiquated boutiques they fell in love with during their travel to Italy and the South of France.

13 Celsius’s extensive and expertly curated list of fine wines, unique beers, and perfectly paired samplings, such as artisan cheeses, salami, and cured hams. Although located in downtown, you will feel as though you stepped into a charming Italian town.

The wine list includes many exotic wines from Grüner Veltliner to Blaufränkisch that ensure an extraordinary experience rarely found in this side of the world. 13 Celsius is proudly, Houston’s first wine bar to have a temperature-controlled cellar to perfectly preserve its unique list of wines from all over the planet.

Adele Corrigan, General Manager since 2012, is an expert wine aficionado who skillfully curates 13 Celsuis’s delicious catalog of over 100 wines that continues to grow and evolve. The personable and experienced staff offers unparalleled service to find the right wine for the pallet of the novice and connoisseur alike.

13 Celsuis’s atmosphere captivates you immediately with its cozy leather sofas, round bistro tables, a 40-foot marble bar, and a courtyard perfect for an open-air experience. The rustic walls, large windows, and intimate lighting creates an ambiance that invites conversation among friends and welcomes meeting new ones.

Visit 13 Celsius Monday to Saturday 4 pm – 2 am and Sunday 1 pm – 2 am.
