a’Bouzy opened in 2017, in the heart of River Oaks, by restaurateur Shawn Virene. It was his first solo venture and the city was excited to experience the champagne-fueled concept! Pronounced as it’s spelled – “ah boozy,” the name is a playful take on the small French town’s name, Bouzy, located in the Champagne region. That, plus the fact that the drink menu has over 150 Champagne options, makes a’Bouzy the place to go for any celebration.
The French inspiration did not stop at the name. Both the interiors and exteriors were designed to mimic St.Tropez and the Mediterranean coast. This was accomplished through exposed brick, a blue and white color pallet and a large patio with oversized umbrellas.
The menu in an American – French blend with Foie Gras Tourchon, Deviled Eggs, Local Seafood Cioppino, Avocado-Crab Salad being a few of the dinner menu highlights. Lunch service features a Melted Mushroom Jack Burger, Steak Sandwich, Artichoke & Caviar Dip and more perfect for sharing with the table.
Brunch at a’Bouzy turns into one of the top places to be on a Saturday or Sunday early afternoon. Thanks to bottles of wine and champagne being popped at every table, you are bound to have a great time. The brunch menu includes Chicken Florentine Crepes, Strawberry & Waffles and more unique twists on brunch classics.
Happy hour at a’Bouzy is every Thursday from 3 – 6:30pm and is seriously not to be missed. The entire menu is under $6! Food items include Steamed Black Mussels, Truffle Pomme Frites, Tuna Tartare and more substantial items.
