If you were to poll Houstonians on their favorite cocktail we like to believe it would be a margarita! Thanks to all the amazing tex-mex restaurants here in town it could be hard to decide where to celebrate National Margarita Day. Don’t worry we have you covered with the top 5 places to celebrate! 

Picos

Picos, founded by Arnaldo Richards nearly 35 years ago, has nearly 400 tequilas and seven private proprietary tequila blends exclusive to Picos!  They will be offering four specials: $10 Classic margaritas made with Don Julio Silver (normally $13), $10 frozen Altos Reposado Frozen tamarind margaritas (normally $13), $5 El JImador Silver and Reposado shots during happy hour (3-6pm), and $6 Picorita Frozens made with Cazadores Silver during lunch and happy hour.

Eight Row Flint

Eight Row Flint will have a wider selection of margaritas frozen and on the rocks! The Pink Rattlesnake: Hibiscus – Serrano Margarita,  Howdy Ma’am: Passion Fruit – Papaya Margarita,  Midnight Cowboy: A Mixed Berry Margarita and Port of Call: Galveston: Coconut – Pineapple Margarita! They will be $11 after Happy Hour, $7 during Happy Hour (2-6PM).

‘The Greatest Margarita Ever Sold’ is the only margarita to appear on the menu at all of Chef Hugo Ortega’s award-winning Mexican restaurants.  Usually $29 but for National Margarita Day it will be just $15 all day at Hugo’s’, Caracol and Xochi!

Ninfa’s will be celebrating with a special Jalapeño Piñarita made with mezcal and jalapeño infusion tequila! That along with their famous The Original Ninfarita (a proprietary recipe with 100 percent agave silver tequila) and a handful of their other margaritas will be $10.

The newest downtown hot spot is celebrating what they consider the best-mixed drink of our time with a nearly 5 foot tall Don Julio margarita! Enjoy the giant margarita while dancing the night away with a live DJ.
