The former Danton’s Gulf Coast Kitchen may be reopening with a new name and location but they will not be changing their commitment to tradition by serving only the freshest seafood from the Texas Gulf Coast. Eugene’s Gulf Coast Cuisine will be located in heart of where River Oaks meets Montrose, in a newly renovated landmark location.
We want to reflect our true southern upbringing and continue to convey what is most important to us: family values, excellent food and fantastic service.

The building has housed many of Houstonians favorite restaurants and Teas made sure to honor and preserve that history. Interiors include the original ornate wood bar to reflect a warm, friendly ambiance with a contemporary flair.
Eugene’s will feature all the popular, classic dishes that drew in Danton’s loyal following, including freshly prepared favorites like Kyle’s Crab Salad, Poblano Shrimp and Grits, classic soups and gumbo, the famous Debris Sandwich and tons of fresh, locally-caught fish, broiled, blackened, baked or grilled to order. Everything is prepared from scratch and cooked over a wood burning fire to impart the ultimate dining experience.
Visit Eugene’s Monday through Saturday 5 – 10 pm and for happy hour in the oyster bar from 4 – 7 pm.
