Every Birthday Deserves a Party: Montrose Mainstay Paulie’s Celebrates 20 Years

in Dining & Nightlife/Things To Do by

Two decades of fresh, house-made pasta, family recipes, and perfectly-paired wine? We think that’s something to celebrate. Today, Sunday, April 15, head over to Paulie’s and its neighboring wine bar, Camerata at Paulie’s, for a 20th Anniversary Party done right.

From 4 p.m. till 2 a.m., party guests will enjoy drink specials at Camerata and complimentary bites from local food trucks. Memorialize the fun with Smilebooth, and pull on your dancing shoes to dance the night away to the sounds of local legend DJ Sun. Dig into a slice of birthday cake from Jody Cakes, and be sure to pick up a cookbook by Paulie’s owner Paul Petronella—he’ll even sign it.

The commemorative cookbook, Paulie’s: Classic Italian Cooking in the Heart of Houston’s Montrose District, is a gorgeous gift or perfect addition to your cookbook collection—chock full of recipes and mouthwatering photos, you’ll find an array of flavorful dishes that are easy to reproduce at home. Paul has even included a roadmap for folks who are interested in opening their own restaurant; with a lifetime of experience in independent restaurant life, Petronella’s advice and insight are invaluable.
