Thanksgiving is around the corner and as much we love a homemade meal we know that sometimes for one reason to another that can’t happen. Thankfully the great chefs of Houston are here for us! We rounded up the top places to either spend Thanksgiving or pick up classic TG dishes to pass off as your own.

Bosscat Kitchen & Libations
Celebrate Thanksgiving with the Bosscat team from 11 am – 7pm. The special menu includes heaping helpings of two proteins (maple-bourbon brined turkey, brown sugar-baked ham and dry-aged roast beef), salad, family-style sides and dessert for, plus half-off all bottles of wine and $5 Texas draft beers all day.
Roka Akor
Looking for something outside the norm? Head to Roka Akor Thanksgiving Day from 3-9pm for Japanese twist on a Thanksgiving Feast! Enjoy a 4-course meal that includes a mizuna salad with roasted beets, an assortment of chef selected sashimi with crispy prawn, grilled whole Branzino with yuzu kosho sauce, grilled honey miso glazed turkey and finished with choice of caramel apple cheesecake or pumpkin spice creme brulee.

Let Chris Sheppard’s team prepare your Thanksgiving feast for you. Place your order for Shepherd Family Rum Sausages, Bacon Sausage Creamed Greens, Day After Thanksgiving Gumbo and Georgia James’ 1.5-lb apple pie and more by Sunday 11/24.
Indianola
If you’re looking for a true feast, buffet style head downtown to Indianola from 10am – 5pm. Enjoy more than a dozen sides and hors d’oeuvres, plus a variety of proteins and desserts all inspired by Chef’s family traditions. $55 per Adult, $20 per Child (12 & under); Free for Children Under 3.

The Houston institution is offering a full Thanksgiving feast (serves 6-8) for pick up for $195 (not including tax or gratuity). The dinner includes a Mesquite-smoked turkey, sausage and pecan bread stuffing, potatoes Au Gratin, sweet potato gratin, old school green bean casserole, roasted cranberry sauce, dinner rolls and beer shallot jam butter, and complete with the famous Brazos Bottom pecan pie for dessert. All items can be purchased individually, as well as the Chocolate Cream Pie. All orders must be placed by Thursday, 11/21.
