High Quality Sushi in a Laid Back Environment

in Dining & Nightlife by

People like to call Soma Sushi, Houston’s best kept sushi secret. Owned by the restaurant group who has Kata Robata and Azuma on their roaster, Soma is the go-to destination for high-quality sushi in a casual environment. Their menu expands far beyond classic sushi dishes and the energetic staff is there to help guide you through your meal.

The innovative menu brings together the flavors of the many cultures reflected in Houston with traditional Japanese cuisine. This is done through exotic sushi pieces, signature rolls, traditional and modern Ramen styles, house smoked meats, and both raw and cooked fish from around the world.

Highlights from the menu include, Tuna & Goat Cheese (tuna, nori goat cheese, pickled asian pear, crispy leeks, lime zest, micro shiso, sweet soy, cilantro infused oil), Texas Ramen (local farm pork and chicken broth, pork belly, shiitake, corn, green onions, spinach, wakame, chili thread, cilantro, egg), O-Toro Sashimi (Blue Fin Tuna Belly), Yellowtail  Sashimi (Foie Gras & Asian Pear Jam), The Tuna Truffle Roll (tuna, ebi, avocado, yellow tobiko, negi, truffle shoyu) and so much more.

Happy Hour at Soma occurs all day Sunday, Monday from 4-10pm, Tuesday through Friday 4-7pm and Saturday 12-7pm. Over 15 items from both the kitchen and sushi bar are offered for under $10. Included is, Ceviche Shooters (shrimp, white fish, octopus, jalapeño, mango, cilantro, endive, onions), Crazy Irishman Roll (salmon, tuna, avocado, flash fried, spicy aioli, eel sauce, masago, negi), and Pork Belly Buns (steamed bao, green onion, pickled cucumber, pickled onion, hoisin). There is something for everyone in the drink specials offerings, with $10-$7 signature cocktails, $5 well drinks, $6 wines, $6 sake carafes and more.

Visit Soma Sushi in the greater Heights neighborhood, Sunday, 12-10pm, Monday through Thursday 11:30am – 10pm, Friday 11:30am – 10pm and Saturday 12-11pm.

  1. I know this if off topic but I’m looking into starting my own weblog and was curious what all is needed to get set up? I’m assuming having a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny? I’m not very web savvy so I’m not 100 certain. Any recommendations or advice would be greatly appreciated. Kudos

  2. You gained’t get any bonuses for purchasing chips at a on line casino! For a straight, the highest straight or suit will win. Not only for poker but for black jack games the playing cards are easily available in plastic coated paper.
