The Definitive Guide to Houston

Iconic Tex-Mex Restaurant has a New Location

in Dining & Nightlife by

The Original Ninfa’s on Navigation, founded in 1973 by “Mama Ninfa” Laurenzo, is widely recognized in Tex-Mex history as the birthplace of fajitas. The restaurant has been written about and featured on national publications and is a must for anyone coming through town. This month (6/10) they will be opening a new location in BLVD Place, located in the Uptown neighborhood of Houston.

The gorgeous space seats 280 guests inside and 100 outside, throughout multiple patio areas. Replicating a space with such rich history can be a challenge, but Legacy Restaurants, alongside Studio Red Architects did an amazing job at recreating the magic.

With stucco walls and black & white photo of Mama Ninfa, guests automatically feel as though they are somewhere special. You will be greeted with a classic tortilla station, where tortillas are made fresh throughout the day. We highly recommend  trying one, or a few, no matter what you order. The menu, same as the downtown location is full of  classics such as, Fajitas, Enchiladas, Queso, Margaritas and all Tex-Mex dishes you could ever desire.
