La Villa founder Vincent Sinard recently recruited star-chef Kevin d’Andréa to transform and invigorate the restaurants’ menu. Frenchman, Chef Kevin d’Andréa has an extensive resume working with acclaimed chefs, including Alain Llorca of five-star Hôtel Belle Rives, Alain Ducasse of the Plaza Athénée and the Yannick Alléno culinary team of 3-Michelin star Le Meurice. Complimenting the new spring menu is the modern French coastal feel of the two-story restaurant located in the heart of Montrose.
In the three months I have lived in Houston, I have fallen in love with the energy of the city, the people that live here and the ability to easily source some of the finest local ingredients for our restaurant.
Chef Kevin d’Andréa
His modern approach to cooking French cuisine in Houston has made La Villa stand out amongst other French restaurants. The new spring menu, a mixture of savory and sweet, offers a collection of vegetarian, meat and seafood dishes that highlight the region’s seasonal ingredients. Savory dinner menu highlights include a mouthwatering Agnolotti (stuffed with chicken and crimini mushrooms and sage), and indulgent Burgundy Black Truffle Risotto. Make sure to save room for dessert because you will not want to miss the Raspberry and Chocolate Éclair (chocolate genoise with ganache).
The bright open concept is the perfect place for brunch. Standouts from the menu include Avocado Tartine (fresh herbs, truffle scrambled eggs), classic French Salad Niçoise, Smoked Salmon (fresh whipped cream and dill) and a French take on a Margarita, the Bonjour Rita (tequila, lime, orange liqueur, egg white). Happy Hour occurs weekdays and includes $7 cocktails and select wine along with Truffle French Fries, Croque Monsieur and more all under $8.
Dinner is served, Tuesday – Thursday 5 pm to 10 pm, Friday & Saturday 5 pm to 11 pm. Brunch service is Saturday & Sunday 11 am to 3 pm and Happy Hour takes place Tuesday – Thursday 5 pm to 10 pm.
