The Definitive Guide to Houston

Uptown Sushi is Back and Better Than Ever

in Dining & Nightlife by

Uptown Sushi has been a go-to Japenese restaurant in Houston since 2004. After 15 years it was time for a renovation, which took six months and debuted this past February. The space, now an open concept with a bright color pallet, compliments the fresh new menu perfectly.

The 155-seat restaurant is full of a mix of plush banquettes and traditional dining tables. Many of the seats give you a perfect view of the sushi bar, where you can watch the magic happen.

The end result is a space that is timeless, yet fresh and reflects our flavorful Japanese-fusion and sushi cuisine in the center of uptown Houston.

The menu offers a variety of sushi, sashimi, rolls and more. Traditional highlights include Japanese Black Snapper and Soft Shell Crawfish, while Signature Nigiri highlights include Freshwater Eel (topped with mango cheesecake and Foie Gras Sushi). A few of their popular unique dishes include The Truffle Tuna and Yellow Pon and Kobe Cubes. The restaurant drink menu features classic and hand-crafted cocktails along with an extensive cold sake and wine menu.

Visit Uptown Sushi Monday – Thursday 11 am to 11 pm, Friday 11 am to 12 am, Saturday 12 pm to 12 am and Sunday from 5 pm to 10 pm.
