This year marks the 84th annual Azalea Trail put on by the River Oaks Garden Club. The event, March 1st through the 3rd, kicks off the spring season in Houston. Over the years the event has grown into much more than a fundraiser for horticultural education, conservation, and civic beautification. It has become a place for both women and men from the greater Houston community to come together and take in the beauty of the cities blooming azaleas.
The Houstonian is lucky to have its’ 27 acres become home to massive pink, purple & white azaleas in the spring. To celebrate the beauty they encourage Azalea Trail visitors from Houston and beyond to join them in a “think pink” deluxe hotel package. The package includes tickets to the event, an elegant 3-Course, Prix Fixe Menu at The Manor House presented with a glass of Provencal Rose, and Pink Potion Cocktails at The Bar.
After walking the trail it would only be appropriate to indulge with an on-theme spa treatment! The Trellis Spa Azalea Treatments will include super-scented Azalea Manicures and Pedicures from Trellis Spa at The Houstonian. Relax with a warm, hydrating soak followed by a revitalizing exfoliation, relaxing hand or foot massage with an exclusive scented moisturizer for intense hydration, and more.
During the trail walk, you will get a glimpse into 6 locations in the River Oaks neighborhood, including 4 private homes and gardens, Bayou Bend and Rienzi. The last stop is the River Oaks Garden Club Forum of Civics where advice from “Ask the Experts” can be enjoyed each day.
