Summer is officially here; even though here in Houston the weather doesn’t follow the pattern of kicking off Summer on Memorial Day and ending on Labor day – the heat, unfortunately, started a few weeks ago. But what’s the best way to stay cool? Hanging out by or in a pool. We have rounded up the top hotel pools in town to escape the heat!
1 . Hotel ZaZa
With two locations (Museum District and Memorial City) in Houston, you can be poolside no matter which side of the city you want to be in! With striped cabanas and chairs this oasis is “insta-worthy,” and you won’t be able to resist having a glass of champagne mid-selfie. To celebrate Summer, Zaza is currently running a poolside package that includes, two glasses of prosecco poolside to satisfy that desire as well as other perks!
This [literally] Texas shaped lazy river is pretty spectacular and tons of fun! In order to access the pool, you must be a guest of the hotel or the spa. Deciding between a staycation or a spa day shouldn’t be hard, since each will include a flat in the lazy river.
This rooftop pool is intimate and relaxing with a unique downtown view. Enjoy the sun while indulging in something from the bar menu which includes delicious french fries, burgers, and popsicle-cocktails (cleverly coined “pop-tails”)! Enjoy this luxurious pool as either a guest of the hotel or the always relaxing Spa by Alessandra!
The pool at Hotel Granduca transports you to a villa in Italy, with the massive palm trees, luxe cabanas, greenery and impeccable service. Recently named one of 25 Best Luxury Hotels in the United States by TripAdvisor, this is the perfect location to escape the city without actually leaving!
The Four Seasons Hotel in downtown Houston has so many amazing offerings that you’ll have to make an entire weekend out of it! From shopping at Buttonhook boutique, enjoying the spa and playing Topgolf you won’t want to end the day anywhere besides a poolside cabana at this rooftop pond.
The Post Oak Hotel at Uptown is luxurious in every sense of the word and so is the pool. Upon entering the hotel you still spot the mini oasis through the floor to ceiling windows on the back side of the lobby. The outdoor bar, cabanas, and firepit allow you to relax while sipping on a delicious cocktail long after prime tanning hours.
