The Original Ninfa’s on Navigation, founded in 1973 by “Mama Ninfa” Laurenzo, is widely recognized in Tex-Mex history as the birthplace of fajitas. The restaurant has been written about and featured on national publications and is a must for anyone coming through town. Ford Fry Opens Side by Side Concepts in The Heights

Ford Fry, the brain behind State of Grace in River Oaks is at it again with two new concepts, La Lucha and Superica. The two restaurants may be side by side but they are unique in flavors, decor and overall feel. Superica originated in Atlanta as an ode to Fry’s love of Tex-Mex and grew to Charlotte, North Carolina not long after. Where La Lucha is an ode to Fry and Houstonians beloved San Jacinto Inn- known for Gulf seafood and fried goodness.  Keep Reading
