Players’ very own founder Jeanette Clift George was cast in the film as Corrie ten Boom and was nominated for a Golden Globe and a British Academy Award for her outstanding performance. There’s exciting news buzzing in the Houston arts world: The award-winning Houston Grand Opera has announced that it will present its 2018–2019 season at its home, The Wortham Theater Center. HGO was displaced for a year following the damage the theater withstood in the wake of Hurricane Harvey last summer, but the opera company will make a triumphant return to its home stage this fall.
